After 4 successful seasons, Shark Tank Viet Nam (The Silver Billion Deal) has officially aired the first episode of season 5.

Shark Tank is back for a fifth season, with the Sharks continuing the search to invest in the best businesses and products that Vietnamese startups have to offer.

This year the jury or ‘sharks’ will be Pham Thanh Hung, the Deputy Chairman of Cen Land and Chairman of Cenhomes.vn, Do Lien, the founder of LIAN, Nguyen Xuan Phu, the chairman of SUNHOUSE Group, Nguyen Hoa Binh, the Chairman of NextTech, Le Hung Anh, the Founder and Managing Director of BIN Corporation Group, Thai Van Linh, the Managing Director of TVL Group, and Louis Nguyen, the Chairman and General Director of Saigon Asset Management.

Besides enabling start-ups to seek investment, Shark Tank is also a forum for young companies to advertise their products to the country.

Last year it attracted applications from many Vietnamese start-ups abroad who wanted to expand to Viet Nam.

At an episode of Season 5 premiered in June, Lien Chieu District-based IMWI Technology Company Limited received investment worth VND 10 billion or 35% shares and a 35% profit margin of BIN from Shark Le Hung Anh, the Founder and Managing Director of BIN Corporation Group for its Delta X robot.

Early 2020, after two years of research, Mr. Doan Hong Trung and his associates set up their own IMWI Technology Company which specialises in providing robot solutions and 3D printing technology. The Delta X 1 version was also born at this time. The Delta X 1 can use its ‘arms’ to pick up paper sheets and a variety of other objects such as candies and fruits, and perform some related tasks programmatically. In May 2020, IMWI made the debut of the Delta X 2 version and then received a large number of orders for this new product worldwide. Delta X was one of the Da Nang-based five startups to have earned their places among the top 60 in the Viet Nam Startup Wheel 2020, which is now the largest and most prestigious annual startup competition in the country. Delta Robots are often used for fast pick and place applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and electronic industries.

Also at Shark Tank season 5, Hai Chau District –based EM&AI Joint Stock Company called for an investment of USD 1 million for digital transformation and automation of call processes with artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Voice Bot to reduce operational costs in businesses.

Especially, EM&AI received an initial capital investment of USD 100,000 from Shark Do Thi Kim Lien, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of AquaOne Group in order to allow her to appraise and learn more about voice bot solutions developed by EM&AI.

In March 2022, EM & AI has started to launch its AI-powered voicebot solutions,  and it has attracted more than 30 customers till date while 10,000 conversations are conducted by its AI-powered voicebots every day.
