Information technology (IT) products in early 2023 are being affected by a declining market, and difficulties facing businesses in accessing capital.

However, the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (Al) product development is opening up opportunities for the IT industry to develop, so many businesses continue to attract human resources.

Mrs. Hoang Thi Nhi, Director of the Viet Phap Cybersecurity Technology Co., Ltd, based in Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District, said that she once worked as a programmer for a well-known business abroad, but was then laid off due to staff cuts in the first quarter of 2017.

Realizing that many businesses are in great demand in finding solutions for network and computer security, system security and cloud storage, Mrs. Nhi has developed a team of 10 people to help businesses iron out their problems they are facing at the end of 2018.

“In 2022, the number of businesses ordering our services has increased by 20-25% compared to the previous year, and doubled that in 2018. Most of the orders come from small and medium-sized enterprises in the fields of services, construction, travel and tourism in the city" Mrs. Nhi said.

The fact that IT enterprises always attract human resources has had a great impact on career orientation, thereby facilitating schools and training institutions to attract students.

Mr. Trinh Cong Duy, Deputy Director of the Software Development Center under the University of Da Nang, said that currently, it is now common for businesses to order human resources from schools and educational institutions to find high-quality human resources meeting work requirements. Specifically, businesses are involved in such aspects as artificial intelligence, network and information security, logistics management, digital supply chain, digital finance, and digital marketing.

It is clear that the increasing number of businesses inside and outside the region pre-ordering human resources in these fields has greatly contributed to creating a new trend in recruiting and training in the direction of suitable applications for businesses, Mr. Duy noted.

Through recent surveys conducted at many IT enterprises in the city, the job vacancies were recruited focusing on the fields related to software, security and data storage.

Mr. Nguyen Hau, Director of the Viet Da Software Company Limited located in Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District, said that his business specialised in manufacturing and providing accounting products. Most recently, his company has received a growing number of orders, requiring it to recruit more human resources in the field of software development to meet current needs.

“I plan to recruit 5 more database programmer positions with a probationary salary in the first 3 months of VND10-VND12 million/month. However, it is difficult to find a sufficient number of employees when businesses inside and outside the technology industry are struggling for employee recruitment in the current period" Mr. Hau informed.

Ms. Tran Nhu Hoai, General Director of the Nal Solutions JSC based in Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District, shared that the company is in need of recruiting new human resources to build, research and develop in the field of cloud computing. This field is being targeted by many businesses, but recruiting is not easy.

Mr. Tran Thanh Truc, the Director of the Da Nang Information Technology Infrastructure Development Center, said that in 2023, fields related to software, network systems, secure databases, and cloud data are gradually becoming the trend of the information technology industry in the context of digital transformation.

Along with that, engineers focus on automating the process of programming and delivering software (DevOps), and designing and editing applications on front-end web and mobile, significantly contributing to enhancing business performance, and bringing unique experience to users.

Besides, many universities and educational institutions have researched and opened new majors in order to provide new and highly specialized human resources for businesses. This creates excitement for the human resource market and is a premise for the development of the information technology industry in 2023.
