Viettel to deploy 5,000 digital payment acceptance points in Hai Chau District
On Tuesday, the Hai Chau District authorities and the branch of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) in Da Nang entered into a cooperation agreement to boost digital transformation in the locality in 2023.
Under the deal, Viettel Da Nang will support Hai Chau District to boost digital transformation in four aspects of digital government, digital economy, digital society and digital infrastructure.
With regard to digital government, Viettel Da Nang will provide one-year free of charge to use digital signatures for 500 officials, civil servants and public employees and 100% of heads of the community digital technology groups in the district.
Additionally, Viettel Da Nang will develop a virtual switchboard for the Hai Chau District People’s Committee in order to notify time for returning public service records to people and inform work schedules.
As for the digital economy, Viettel Da Nang will deploy about 5,000 digital payment acceptance points in the district, as well as offer up to 35% discount for 100% of local enterprises and family-run businesses which register to use such services as digital signatures and e-invoices.
Regarding digital society, Viettel Da Nang will support the local authorities to deploy e-commerce transaction accounts for over 80% of households in the locality, popularise My Sign - Cloud CA digital signatures for local families, and widely publicise smart platforms in the education and medical fields.
In term of digital infrastructure, Viettel Da Nang will coordinate with the municipal Department of Information and Communications to prioritise building 5G network infrastructure in 2023 in Hai Chau District after the Ministry of Information and Communications officially grants 5G frequency licenses.
