Addressing the launching ceremony, which was held by the UD in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Director of the UD Nguyen Ngoc Vu said CEF Danang is a specific result of the long-term cooperation between the university and the AUF.
According to AUF representative, CEF Da Nang is one of the three CEF centres in Viet Nam, after Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, and one of the nine centres established by the AUF in seven countries in Asia-Pacific, namely Viet Nam, Cambodia, China, Laos, Mongolia, Thailand and Vanuatu.
CEF Da Nang was designed in accordance with international standards, working on four main areas of consulting, providing information and guiding job search; soft skill training; professional certification; and entrepreneurship.
This will be a common working space of the university community and its partners, not only limited to AUF member universities but also extended to other universities, bringing convenience, digital education services, supporting business access and contributing to Viet Nam's higher education development strategy associated with innovation in the period to 2030, with a vision toward 2045.
The AUF is an international association comprising universities, academic networks and scientific research centres that use the French language all over the world. With a network of over 1,000 members in nearly 120 countries, it is one of the world’s largest higher education and research associations. The University of Danang has been an official member of the AUF since 1995.
The AUF is also the specialist higher education and research agency for the Francophonie. As such, within its scope of competence, it implements resolutions adopted at conferences of heads of state and government of countries where French is spoken.
