The Da Nang government has just issued a decision approving the list of programmes and projects for the application and development of information technology (IT) in the city in 2023.

Accordingly, a combined total of VND37 billion from the city budget will be spent on implementing 66 IT programmes and applications in the locality.

The municipal People's Committee asks relevant agencies and units to do their assigned tasks in strict accordance with regulations on investment management and application of information technology using state budget capital, as well as select a qualified consultant, and prepare a detailed cost estimate outline for appraisal and approval before June 30, 2023.

A focus will be on formulating operating regulations for software, applications and systems to ensure efficiency of the programmes and projects.

The municipal authorities assign the Department of Information and Communications to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant units, to set up a council to appraise the contents and funding for the implementation of the approved IT programmes and projects.
