The Da Nang government has issued the programme to develop the market for science and technology in the city by 2030.

Specifically, by 2025, two intermediary organisations will be developed in the city, to be connected to the network of national science and technology intermediary organisations.

Also, a database on the production technology level of three industrial production industries of textile, mechanical engineering and seafood processing will be formed.

At the same time, at least 3 events strengthening supply and demand connection for the development of the science and technology market will be held at the municipal and regional scale.

The attention will be paid to enhancing the management capacity of science and technology market development among management agencies, research institutes, universities, colleges, intermediary organisations and enterprises.

By 2030, the focus will be on developing the science and technology market in the city in a synchronous, efficient and modern manner; boosting deep international integration; promoting the transaction of intellectual property and technology transactions to help improve competitiveness; and linking digitisation of research results and intellectual property with commercial potential in the market.

The municipal People's Committee has assigned the local Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with relevant units to develop the supply and demand of the science and technology market; improve the enterprises' capacity to absorb, master and innovate technology; develop intermediary organisations; strengthening market promotion activities; train and foster human resources, communication and international integration on the science and technology market; develop infrastructure and facilities; and perfect development mechanisms and policies.

Accordingly, a total of VND3.64 billion from the city budget will be spent on carrying out the tasks of developing the science and technology market in the 2023-2025 period.

During the 2025-2030 period, the municipal Department of Science and Technology will continue to advise the People's Committee to issue a list of tasks, funding and implementation time.
