Samsung Innovation Campus project to be deployed at Duy Tan University
On Tuesday, the Samsung Vietnam Complex, the Samsung Vina Electronics Company, the Viet Nam Successful Youth Organisation and the Da Nang-based Duy Tan University inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on carrying on the Samsung Innovation Campus project in the 2022 - 2023 period in the city.

The activity was part of a cooperation programme between Samsung and universities nationwide with the aim to develop high-tech capabilities for the young generation of Viet Nam.
Under the MoU, Samsung will cooperate with the Duy Tan University to provide training and teaching programmes under the Samsung Innovation Campus project for lecturers and students. This year, Samsung plans to organise a Big Data training programme for 25 students.
By the 2023-2024 academic year, four courses about Internet of things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and basic programming skills will be offered to Duy Tan students.
After completing the courses, participating students will have the opportunity to practice at the Viet Nam Samsung Research and Development Centre.
Additionally, the two sides will periodically organise seminars and exchange activities about technology trends.
Besides, Samsung is committed to providing electronic equipment and for the Duy Tan University in service of teaching and training programmes.
In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that Da Nang has been identified by the Politburo as the socio-economic hub in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands.
In recent years, the city has taken a number of solutions for promoting the city’s socio-economic development, with a focus on training high-quality human resources, and boosting the application of information technology.
Moreover, the city has carried out many programmes on digital transformation with main pillars of digital economy, digital society and digital government.
The signing of the Samsung Innovation Campus project at the Duy Tan University is a meaningful programme in the context that Da Nang and Viet Nam as a whole are very interested in innovation and information technology.
The project expects to bring many learning opportunities and improve technology application capacity for Duy Tan students, thereby contributing to providing high-quality human resources for the city in the time to come.
