Over 1,600 IT programmers, students join Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2023

The Google Developer Group (GDG) MienTrung - held Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2023 took place in Da Nang on Saturday, bringing many updates and important Google learning programmes to the developer community. The event attracted the participation of more than 1,600 IT programmers and students in Da Nang.

Inspired by the iconic self-rotating Han Bridge, Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2023 took the theme ‘Spin2Win” and brought updates in AI, Flutter, Cloud, Data and other technologies to the local IT community, which would hopefully foster professional development, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, inspire a drive towards innovation to collectively adapt to the ever-evolving technological landscape.

As the localized version of the annual Google I/O, or simply I/O, is an annual developer conference held by Google in Mountain View, California, the US, Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2023 was designed with 2 conference rooms, 10 sharing sessions and 12 famous domestic and foreign speakers.

The event was built as a tech festival that brings many outstanding tech updates, Google programmes to the local community of IT programmers and students.

Accordingly, important Google updates in Google Play, Cloud, Web and AI are brought closer to the local tech community, and al of them were presented by speakers who are representatives from the GDG community of the Google ecosystem.

In addition to topics related to Google’s technology, the programme also explored other related content and fields such as Cybersecurity awareness in the digital transformation period; tech product design thinking; or Agile in the software development process to meet the public demand for knowledge updates.

On this occasion, the free learning programme Android Warrior, a course with content built by the GDG community in Viet Nam was also introduced, with the goal of helping programmers create Android apps using Compose.

In addition to seminars, the event also highlighted many booths where the participants accessed products and technologies developed by famous international corporations as well as outstanding tech startups which have proved highly popular in the local developer community.

During 7 occasions of organisation, Google I/O Extended MienTrung has been trying to become a forum to introduce tech updates and connect local IT businesses with one another.  Since then, GDG MienTrung wishes to contribute to improving the quality of human resources, as well as spreading development momentum to the tech community in Da Nang and the central region at large.
