University of Da Nang beefs up cooperation with Japanese educational institutions and businesses

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationships between Viet Nam and Japan, the University of Da Nang (UD) coordinated with relevant units to organise the ‘Connection between Vietnamese and Japanese Universities /Enterprises’ on Thursday morning.

In attendance at the event were 17 partners that are Japanese educational institutions and enterprises in the fields of mechanics, human resources, furniture business, automobiles, transportation business, logistics warehouses, information technology, the administration of hospitals, clinics, nursing and child care.

Up to now, the UD has established cooperative relationships with more than 50 partners that are Japanese universities, enterprises and associations through many long-term and effective cooperation.

The whole system from regional university level to member schools and affiliated/affiliated units has focused on continuously deepening cooperation with Japanese enterprises, including many prestigious brands such as: Fujikin, JFE Steel, SMC, Sun Frontier, Full time system, Esuhai, Mikazuki, Jesco Asia and Morikosan.

Addressing the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son, the Vice Rector of the UD highly appreciated the cooperation between the UD and the Japanese business community, wishing that this cooperation would continue to be enhanced in the future.

According to Mr. Mori Hayato, the Director of Japan’s Morikosan company, the UD is one of the leading prestigious Vietnamese universities in training, providing high quality human resources to meet a growing need among Japanese enterprises to develop investment and cooperation between the two countries, especially for Da Nang and the dynamic and developed central region.

The event aims to strengthen connections and close exchanges between the UD and Japanese partners, including educational institutions and businesses, calling for more support, academic exchanges and creating conditions for Da Nang students to study in Japan.

On this occasion, Japanese partners awarded study encouragement scholarships to typical Da Nang students who overcame difficulties and achieved high achievements in research and study.
