Within the framework of the ongoing FPT Techday 2023 in Ha Noi, the FPT Corporation and Landing AI have just signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop business and human resources in the field of AI.

Landing AI is a leading American software company specialising in computer vision and AI, founded by Andrew Ng, a renowned figure in the field of AI and co-founder of Coursera.

Under the deal, FPT becomes one of the major investors and strategic partners of Landing AI in the Asia - Pacific region. The two sides commit to developing AI in the fields of technology and education.

Specifically, FPT and Landing AI will cooperate to deploy AI projects, including a project on developing computer vision applications for industry, healthcare, education and others which are strengths of Landing AI in North America.

Previously, FPT and Landing AI had successfully provided AI solutions for the production line of a global corporation in the field of automobile interior manufacturing with annual sales reaching US$13 billion.

As a major shareholder, FPT will support Landing AI to introduce and deploy computer vision solutions to customers in Viet Nam and Asia Pacific, leveraging its customer network and market experience of FPT.

In the field of education, Landing AI will cooperate with FPT Education Organisation to develop a comprehensive AI curriculum for students from grades 1 to 12. Accordingly, 100% of FPT students will learn AI curriculum.

The curriculum will be compiled by Dr. Andrew Ng who is Landing AI's founder and CEO and Time Magazine's Top 100 Most Influential People in AI. With the goal of cultivating AI talents in Viet Nam, Dr. Andrew Ng is also invited to become an AI advisor at the FPT Education Organisation.

Recognising Viet Nam's market potential and high-quality human resources, Landing AI is considering the establishment of an engineer training center in Viet Nam to develop the Asia-Pacific market.

FPT also pledges to support and cooperate closely with Landing AI in providing engineering resources during the implementation process.

The two sides' cooperation in training a high-quality workforce in the AI field helps create job opportunities and promote AI development in Viet Mam, the US and around the world.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Andrew Ng said “I am very impressed with FPT's ability to solve complex challenges through technology, as well as FPT's commitment to education. FPT not only demonstrates its technological class but also shows its determination to make Viet Nam a developed technology center in the world”.

Sharing about the cooperative relationship, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FPT Group Truong Gia Binh emphasised that ooperation with the world's leading companies like Landing AI, with geniuses like Andrew Ng, will open a new era for AI development in Viet Nam, contributing to making the country a leading power in AI.

He voiced his belief that the cooperation will not only create positive change in Viet Nam, but also bring great benefits in AI research and application, thereby contributing to developing the workforce of the field globally.
