17 teams compete in preliminary round of 2nd circuit design competition for smart cities in Da Nang

The preliminary round of the 2nd edition of the circuit design competition for smart cities kicked off in Da Nang on Monday.

Themed "Dual transformation for development of sustainable green cities”, the competition was launched on December 18, 2024 by the Authority of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park in coordination with the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC) on a national scale. It aims to seeks potential projects, and promotes training, research and development activities in the field of semiconductors, thereby creating a premise for the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology platform, computing technology and artificial intelligence.

The competition is for students and trainees from universities, colleges, and academies nationwide who have ideas, projects, or studies and applications related to circuit design for smart cities.

The preliminary round in Da Nang attracted the participation of more than 70 students from 17 teams from universities in Central Viet Nam.

The contest is evaluated based on 4 criteria: ideas; content and implementation methods; implementation techniques; and technology. After the preliminary round, the selected projects will enter the product completion round slated to be held at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
