As of 5.00 pm on 12 June, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 7,613,578.

One of the remaining 12 patients in Viet Nam who tested positive for coronavirus have been discharged from hospital, taking the total of patients given the all-clear to 321 till date, Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said. This means 96.7 percent of the cases in the county have made a full recovery from the illness. Latest update from Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control states that as of Friday afternoon, no-one in Viet Nam has tested positive for the potentially deadly virus. It means the total number of cases in the country still stands at 332, with no deaths.   

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
