As of 5.00 pm on 18 June, the number of confirmed coronavirus (known as Covid-19) cases around the world has jumped to 8,419,111.

Viet Nam has no active coronavirus cases on June 18 afternoon. It means the total number of cases in Viet Nam still stands at 335, with no deaths, the Viet Nam's National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said. The country has gone 63 consecutive days without a domestically transmitted infection. In total, 195 of the confirmed cases were overseas arrivals, and they were quarantined on arrival. Statistics released by the Committee show that Viet Nam has seen 325 people recover from the deadly illness. This means the percentage of patients who have recovered from the coronavirus in the country currently reaches 97.

Thus far six people have been diagnosed with the disease in Da Nang, and all of them have been cleared of the virus.
