According to Decision No. 2345/QĐ-NHNN dated December 18, 2023 by the Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam on implementing safety and security solutions in online and bank card payments, starting from July 1, 2024, biometric authentication such as fingerprint or facial recognition will be mandatory for online money transfers and e-wallet top-ups exceeding VND10 million.
