Although digital cameras may be easier to use, many hobbyist photographers still love taking photos on film. The main reason is thought to be film cameras’ low costs, nostalgic style, and natural photo colours.
Film has a certain magic, a sense of atmosphere, depth, texture, and realness that can’t be emulated with digital. Film yields a unique quality to photos, which becomes especially visible in prints. Pictures on film show greater depth, and look more natural than those captured on a digital camera's image sensor.
In Da Nang, there are not many high-quality film developing services. Therefore, many photographers have to send their photographic films to the film development rooms in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Finished film photos can be scanned into an electronic image file for sharing on the Internet.
DA NANG Today would like to introduce our readers to some amazing photos which reflect the beauty of Da Nang captured by film cameras.
