On Wednesday morning, Da Nang started to welcome teachers and pupils back from ‘green and yellow zones’ in other cities and provinces nationwide in preparation for the upcoming school comeback for on-campus study.

The returnees were stuck in other localities countrywide due to the COVID-19 resurgence.
As noted, this morning, COVID-19 quarantine checkpoints set up at the city’s gateways on a National Highway 1A in Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District, Ta Quang Buu Street in Lien Chieu District, Tran Dai Nghia Street in Ngu Hanh Son District, National Highway 14B in Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District earmarked dedicated places to handle the arrival of teachers and pupils from neighbouring provinces.
At the checkpoints, the arrivals were guided to complete medical declaration procedures and have their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 rapid antigen tests.
Upon obtaining negative test results and having their necessary papers checked by functional staff, these arrivals are allowed to pass through checkpoints to enter Da Nang.
Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Education and Training, said that when returning to the city, teacher and pupils and their eligible companions shall report the residence addresses to the local authorities, self-quarantine at home for 14 days and comply with other COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
