Buckwheat flowers bloom on Ha Giang rocky plateau
Year-end is the time when the Dong Van stone plateau in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang enters into the most beautiful season of the year. The attraction spellbinds tourists with the magnificent nature, unique culture imbued with the identity of Mong ethnic group, and especially enchanting buckwheat flower fields.
In 2021, the whole Dong Van District planted more than 250 hectares of buckwheat flowers concentrated in a number of communes and towns such as Sung La, Pho Cao, Lung Tao and Pho Bang.
Early winter is the time when buckwheat flower fields burst into bloom, showing off the most brilliant colours and embellishing the beauty of the stone plateau.
Let’s admire the beauty of tiny, white and pastel-pink buckwheat flowers in below photos captured by our freelance photographer My Ly during her recent visit to the Dong Van stone plateau.
