The Banff National Park is one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations. Established in 1885, it is Canada's oldest national park. The park spans more than 6.6km2 of mountainous terrain, packed with spectacularly scenic valleys, peaks, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers.

Meanwhile, extending over 11,000 km2, the Jasper National Park, established in 1907, is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and part of UNESCO's Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.

Below are some stunning photos about the two national parks, captured by freelance photographer Nguyen Hai.

Moraine Lake is considered the most beautiful lake in the Banff National Park. The first glimmering rays of sunlight shine through the snowy mountains peaks create a golden colour, reflecting and sparkling at emerald water lake.

The Sunwapta Falls in the Jasper National Park are the perfect stop while driving on the Icefields Parkway. The falls, powered by the Athabasca Glacier, are incredibly powerful in spring and early summer when the volume of meltwater is at its peak.
