Kon Klor Suspension Bridge on Dak Bla River
Spanning the Dak Bla River which flows in the opposite direction from east to west, the Kon Klor Suspension Bridge is one of the largest of its kind in Central Viet Nam.
The bridge connects Kon Tum City and Dak Ro Wa Commune at the end of Bac Can Street. The construction work was started on February 3,1993, and completed on May 19, 1994.
The 292m-long and 4.5m-wide bridge is entirely made from iron and has the load-carrying capacity of 10 tonnes.
With a prominent orange yellow color, the bridge is a prominent highlight on the Dak Bla river. The design of the bridge is based on the shape of the T'rung lute, a traditional bamboo pipe instrument of ethnic minorities in Central Highlands region. Not carrying a flashy beauty or splendor like other bridges, Kon Klor Bridge still retains a rustic beauty, as simple as the soul of the mountain residents.
Let's admire some stunning photos of the bridge which is considered as a symbol of the majestic Kon Tum heaven and earth, captured by freelance photographer Huy Dang when there was no COVID-19.
