The 500-year-old Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province has been recognised as national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This village was formed by a group of people who migrated to Hoi An from some northern localities with traditional craft of making pottery.
It is one of the well-known ancient craft villages on the downstream of the Thu Bon River flowing from Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province, to Hoi An ancient town.
Currently, the Thanh Ha pottery village has 32 pottery making establishments with about 80 employees in total. This site attracts more than 500,000 visitors every year.
