The luxury cruise ship Resorts World One with over 2,000 foreign travellers on board arrived at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port at 10:00am on Thursday.

Built in Germany, the Resorts World One is more than 75,300 tonnes, 268m long and nearly 32m wide. It has 928 luxurious rooms, more than 70% of which have private balconies. Also, there are many attractive amenities and entertainment areas on board.

The cruise ship, operated by the city branch of the Saigontourist Travel Service Co. Ltd., brought the tourists from China, India, France and the UK to the central coastal city.

The passengers later visited popular destinations in Da Nang, including the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Han Market, the Da Nang Cathedral, the Marble Mountains, the Son Tra Peninsula, the Linh Ung Pagoda, the Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, and the My Khe Beach.

They also came to Quang Nam Province, a neighbor of Da Nang, to admire the UNESCO-recognized Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary.

As observed on the afternoon of March 20, a large number of Chinese tourists in groups were seen walking around some local major streets to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the city.

The cruise ship left the city for other destinations at about 8:00pm on the same day.

Tourist Liang Yu Gu from Hong Kong, China said "I am very impressed with the beauty of the Dragon Bridge. I really like ‘Banh trang cuon thit heo’ (boiled belly pork and vegetables wrapped in soft rice paper) at the Con Market. I want to return to Da Nang many more times".

Mr. Zheng Xiaoqing from Jilin Province, China, said that Vietnamese coffee was number 1 when holding a box of coffee to bring home as a gift. "I am very interested in Vietnamese coffee because of its intensely strong taste. In addition, it is also mixed with many fruits such as coconut, durian or even salt. Its charm makes me irresistible" Mr. Xiaoqing shared.

In 2023 alone, Da Nang welcomed 22 cruise ship arrivals with 18,000 passengers in total. It is expected that 45 cruise ships, carrying more than 40,000 passengers, will arrive in the city in 2024.

The arrival of luxury cruise ships and thousands of international tourists promises to bring prosperity to the city's tourism industry in the coming time.

Upon arrival at the Tien Sa Port, passengers had more than 10 hours to visit some of popular tourist attractions in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.
