Viet Nam boosts ties with Cuba

Viet Nam is keen to tighten the traditional fraternity and comprehensive co-operation with Cuba.

National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the affirmation at an October 15 reception for a delegation from the Cuban Council of State led by its Secretary Homero Acosta Alvarez.

Ngan described the visit as a good opportunity for both nations to promote experience sharing aiming to reinforce solidarity and improve all-round cooperation in a substantial and practical manner.

She called on the two sides to strength delegation exchange and to define orientations for developing cooperative relations between the two legislatures, noting that the Vietnamese National Assembly and people always support the national renewal and development of the Cuban people.

In reply, the Cuba guest said he was deeply admired by Viet Nam’s renewal and socialism building achievements, adding that his visit’s aim is to learn experience from Viet Nam, especially in judicial reform and law building.
