At Thursday’s closing ceremony of the 10^th session of the Da Nang People's Council in its 8^th tenure, the participants approved the retirement of the former Chief of the municipal People’s Committee Secretariat, Mr Nguyen Van Can, and the former Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Mr Dang Cong Ngu, from their duties as members of the municipal People’s Committee (PC).  They have retired in accordance with the national regulations regarding the retirement age of government employees.

Three new local government officials were elected members of the municipal PC for the remainder of the 2011 - 2016 tenure.  They are the Director of the Department of Home Affairs and Chairman of the Hoang Sa Islands District PC, Mr Vo Cong Chanh, the Director of the Planning and Investment Department, Mr Tran Van Son, and the Chief of the municipal PC Secretariat, Mr Vo Van Thuong.
