Boras City Deputy Mayor visits city
During his meeting with Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan on Tuesday, the Deputy Mayor of Boras City in Sweden, Mr Tom Anderson, expressed his delight at Da Nang’s rapid growth. He suggested that Da Nang should take environmental and social issues into consideration when making its urban development strategies. He also vowed to make every effort to help the city to develop it's plans for garbage management as soon as possible. In addition, more support will be given to the city to classify garbage in Hai Chau District. Special attention will be also paid to cooperating with the University of Da Nang in conducting research on garbage treatment and biogas production technologies.
Vice Chairman Tuan said that he would like the Swedish visitors, during their stay in the city, to conduct surveys on the bilateral cooperation projects which have been deployed over recent years. He also stressed the need for increasing experience exchanges in garbage classification and promoting bilateral cooperation between the universities of Da Nang and Boras. In addition, the city leader vowed to create even more favourable conditions for boosting bilateral cooperation in the years ahead.
