On Thursday, the Central Department of Publicity and Training organised a training course in Da Nang to improve the professional skills of national publicists, and to identify its key tasks for this year.

Present at the event were municipal Party Committee (PC) Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung, Head of the local Department of Publicity and Training Nguyen Thanh Quang, and representatives from Publicity and Training Departments across the country.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary Tri said “Da Nang has over 50 publicists from the PC at municipal level, around 300 at district level, and over 400 at commune and ward levels.  They are university graduates and postgraduates.  The PC’s Standing Committee has made great efforts to improve the professional skills of local publicists and enhance the high level of consensus amongst local residents in order to make Da Nang a peaceful, civilised and prosperous city.”  

Participants at the event heard reports from the Central Department of Publicity and Training and the Academy of Journalism and Communications.  They were introduced to skills in oral publicity as well as experience in increasing the efficiency of publicising the Party’s resolutions and domestic and international information to residents.
