President Tran Dai Quang partly attributed the success of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting to great contributions by 35 domestic and foreign special, main and co-sponsors during a reception in Ha Noi on Monday.

The President extended the Vietnamese State and the National Committee for APEC 2017’s thanks to them.  The national leader also affirmed that the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017 is the top important diplomatic event of Viet Nam not only in 2017 but also during its tenure.

He lauded thorough preparations for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week which he described as a leading economic forum in the region and the world as a whole, with a mission to further boost economic-trade-investment among APEC member economies via trade facilitation.

He added that thanks to its hosting of the APEC 2017, Viet Nam’s stature has been enhanced in international arena.  He also remarked that the success of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, and the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017 as a whole, has opened up new opportunities for economic connectivity and free trade promotion in the region.

The host expressed his wish that the success spirit of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, and the APEC Viet Nam Year 2017 as a whole, will be spread nationwide to enhance economic and trade ties between Viet Nam and other countries worldwide.
