Singapore navy ship arrives in city
Singapore’s ship RSS Intrepid 69, a guided missile frigate, with a 150-member crew aboard docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port for a 4-day visit on Thursday.

The ship, which was led by Senior Lieutenant Colonel, Joseph Neo, is the 1st naval ship from Singapore to visit the city this year.
During their 4-day stay in the city, the crew will participate in various cultural and sports exchanges with the Vietnamese Navy, to take part in joint search and rescue exercises at sea, and to pay visits to popular attractions in the city and neighbouring localities.
The ship will leave for other destinations on 29 April.

In 2014, Singapore’s landing ship tank RSS 208 also paid a 4-day visit to the city.
Singapore is the biggest foreign investor in Da Nang with a total investment of 717.87 million US$.
SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, operated a weekly flight between Da Nang and Singapore in 2014.
In 2015, Jetstar Asia also launched direct flights connecting Da Nang with Singapore.
