2 billion VND donated to DK1's officers and men
On Monday afternoon, representatives from the Viet Nam People's Navy High Command met with 215 members from 20 departments, agencies, and organisations, along with reporters from media agencies citywide, who will make a journey to Khanh Hoa Province’s Truong Sa Islands District and the marine defence platform DK1.
The visiting delegation is led by Rear Admiral Ngo Sy Quyet, Deputy Commander of the Viet Nam People's Navy High Command. Meanwhile, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Van Mien is responsible for leading a group of visitors from Da Nang.
During the meeting, the Viet Nam People's Navy High Command was briefed on the delegation’s detailed schedule.
The High Command also asked the delegation to grasp thoroughly the ideologies and daily lives of naval officers and men during the trip, as well as to give some suggestions to the local authorities about the building and protection of Truong Sa Islands District and the marine defence platform DK1 after the trip finishes.
Also at the event, representatives from the 20 participating organisations together signed a mutual emulation agreement.
On this occasion, Da Nang donated 2 billion VND from the local budget to DK1’s officers and men.
