Mainland guests visit Nam Yet Island
During their ongoing trip to Khanh Hoa Province’s Truong Sa Islands District and the marine defence platform DK1, a delegation of representatives from the authorities, organisations and associations in Da Nang, along with reporters from media agencies citywide, visited the Nam Yet Island last Friday.
The visitors from the mainland presented gifts to islanders, plus officers and men, including 2 navy soldiers from Da Nang, who are on duty there.
Also, they took part in musical exchange activities with naval soldiers and residents on the island. The visitors and hosts were thrilled with fascinating performances of songs about seas and islands by singers and artistes from the city’s Trung Vuong Theatre, plus the island’s officers and men.
Located on the northern side of the Truong Sa Archipelago, the 0.6km2 Nam Yet Island is about 113 nautical miles southwest from the Son Ca Island.
