This is the second time that Moon Mu The Great has visited Da Nang. On 11 September, 2018, the ship came for joint exercises with Viet Nam's Naval Region 3, which is in charge of ensuring peace and stability in waters off Viet Nam's north-central coast.
Measuring 134m-long and 18m-wide, ship ROKS Hwacheon, with a loading capacity of over 9,000 tonnes and a draft of 6.5 m, is also visiting the city for the second time after September 2017.
The visit to Viet Nam by South Korean naval ships takes place at a time when the relations between the two countries as well as their defence ties have been continuously consolidated.
This is also among activities to concretise the agreement between the two countries and their defence ministries, hereby helping to deepen the bilateral defence relations.
