At the Afarm hi-tech organic vegetable production area in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phu Commune, the Lao delegation visited hi-tech vegetable and fruit growing areas applying automatic irrigation systems controlled by smartphones.
The Lao top leader highly applauded the hi-tech agricultural production models, affirming that the modern models would be promoted in Laos.
During his visit to the city’s Hi-tech Park, the Lao top leader showed his keen interest in the city’s investment attraction strategies and preferential policies for foreign investors. He also spoke highly the park for its remarkable achievements over recent years.
Some Lao high-ranking government officials learned about the city’s incentives about corporate income tax, and fee exemption or reduction for land lease prices.
Covering an area of over 1,128ha, the city-based Hi-tech Park is one of the three national-level multi-purpose hi-tech parks in Viet Nam. The park is setting its target of becoming a regional and world-level high-tech park, thereby creating extra motivation for promoting the development of the local scientific and technological sector.
