In his remarks at the launching ceremony this morning, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh eagerly affirmed that the provision and use of online public services in the city has been increasing in recent times.

Last year, 44% of the city’s total public services were digitised, and 51% recorded in the past 9 months of this year.

Vice Chairman Chinh affirmed that the operation of the public services portal, along with the adding of 280 new public services, aims to better serve the general public.

The portal currently has 850 online services at levels 3 and 4 prioritised for online deployment in all districts, communes and wards across the city. The level 4 is the highest of service, with the steps of performing payment transactions and sending feedback conducted in a quick and effective fashion.

In particular, 100% of construction licensing procedures have been implemented online at level 3, allowing the submission and management of construction drawings through the portal.

The portal also features built-in online payment functions, electronic receipts and online payment agents.

In the coming time, local government agencies will continue to implement such many practical solutions as promoting non-cash payments, shortening time taken for handling documents, offering more online services, developing mobile apps for public services, using digital signatures and promoting the provision of e-citizen accounts.
