The Party chief highlighted the importance of opening a Japanese Consulate Office in Da Nang in tightening the cooperative ties between Japan and Da Nang, and other central regional localities. He, therefore, affirmed that the municipal authorities would create very favourable conditions for the Japanese government to promote the opening of the office in his locality.
Secretary Nghia remarked Da Nang and some Japanese localities have together organised numerous economic, cultural, educational, healthcare, defence, and security exchange, and cooperation activities.
He, also, asked for help from the Japanese diplomat to appeal for even more investors from his country to visit Da Nang to seek investment opportunities here.
Also at the meeting, Secretary Nghia extended his sympathy to Japan over great losses in humans and property caused by recent typhoon Hagibis.
In reply, Japanese ambassador Kunio said that over recent years, many groups of businesspeople from Japan have visited Da Nang to learn about the city’s investment climate. He also hoped that the Da Nang government would continue lending a helping hand to Japan to successfully organise cultural exchange events in Da Nang in the coming time.
