According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, employees of agencies and departments nationwide, plus those of political and social organisations, will officially have a day off work (1 January 2020) for New Year 2020, and 7 days off work (from 23 January 2020 - 29 January 2020) for Lunar New Year 2020.

Local agencies, organisations, businesses and family homes, as well as vessels anchored in the Han River, are all required to fly national flags on 1, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 January 2020.

The heads of local agencies have been urged to arrange for some of their employees to remain on duty over the period, as well as to ensure security and order.
