New Russian Consul General pays courtesy call on municipal Foreign Affairs Department
New Russian Consulate General in Da Nang, Mr Plam Andrey Yurievich, on Tuesday paid a courtesy call to the leaders of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs.
During the formal audience for the Russian diplomat, the Department’s Director Huynh Duc Truong congratulated him for his new position, and expressed his delight at the increasingly growing comprehensive multi-faceted cooperative ties between the two countries.
Truong hoped that, during his tenure, new Consul General would fulfill his duties in order to foster the friendship relationships between Da Nang and Russian localities, and between the two countries as a whole.
In reply, Mr Plam Andrey Yurievich expressed his pleasure when accepting the assignment in the city. He took the opportunity to ask for favourable condition created by the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs to fulfill his assigned tasks.
Earlier on 13 November, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a letter of credence to Mr Plam Andrey Yurievich to confirm his official appointment.
He is in charge of managing the consular area that comprises of 7 central Vietnamese localities, namely Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue.
