The Da Nang government is urging media agencies in the city to promote the publicity of guidelines for the prevention and control of COVID-19 issued by Viet Nam’s national and Da Nang governments.

Local media agencies and functional bodies are asked to keep people informed of the city’s preparedness and response efforts for COVID-19 to curb the pread of the virus. In addition, heed should be paid to providing accurate and authoritative information, as well as avoiding speculative information which can cause confusion and anxiety for the general public. Praise and encouragement should be given to all the nurses, doctors and other frontline staff who continue to work tirelessly to fight COVID-19 in the city.

Besides, functional bodies are demanded to proactively and actively refute false information, as well as deal with those who take advantage of the epidemic situation causing confusion for the general public, and social insecurity.

The public across Da Nang are urged to strictly follow the 5K recommendations of the Vietnamese Health Ministry, namely khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (health declaration), stay compliant with the city’s COVID-19 regulations in order to protect themselves and others from coronavirus, as well as reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

People in Da Nang are also asked to join the city’s fight against COVID-19 in an effort to help their city sucessfully manage the pandemic.

Strict punishments will be imposed on violations of the city’s COVID-19 rules.
