Da Nang Newspaper hands over cash contributions to COVID-19 Vaccine Fund
Da Nang Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Duc Nam on Wednesday afternoon handed over 20 million VND in donations from the organisation’s staff to support the city’s COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

Editor-in-Chief Nam said that Da Nang Newspaper’s staff all show their willingness to support the city’s efforts to beat the deadly virus, and a combined total of VND 20 million were raised at a launching ceremony of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s appeal for COVID-19 Vaccine Fund support.
“Apart from making donations to support the city in its battle against COVID-19, reporters of Da Nang Newspaper have been active in working on the front line in the fight against the deadly virus to keep the public informed during the coronavirus public health crisis. We’re providing access to accurate information about the outbreak, supporting relief efforts and keeping people connected”, Mr Nam said.
Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) thanked Da Nang Newspaper’s staff for their active support to the city in these challenging times dealing with the pandemic. He also remarked that funding sources would be used to buy COVID-19 vaccines for the city's population, purchase ventilators, other specialised medical equipment and medicines to treat patients with COVID-19, especially critically ill patients, as well as support designated quarantine areas, and those directly involved in epidemic prevention and control activities in the city.
