The Da Nang Labour Union has received more than VND 741 million worth of donations for the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccine fund from the trade unions of the local district-level administration, local government agencies, businesses and individuals.

In detail, the Hai Chau District chapter of the municipal Labour Federation donated  VND225 million, whilst Lien Chieu District with a contribution of VND 49 million; Ngu Hanh Son District VND113 million, Thanh Khe District VND115.6 million, Cam Le District  VND100 million, Son Tra District VND61 million, Hoa Vang District VND89 million, the Trade Union of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones VND 376.3 million, the local healthcare industry VND59.7 million, the municipal Public Cadres’ Union VND 94 million, the local education and training sector VND116.7 million VND, the Da Nang Green Park JSC VND 57 million, 29-3 Textile and Garment JSC VND 50 million, Quang Nam - Da Nang Trade One Member Limited Liability Company VND15 million VND, Da Nang Urban Environment JSC VND 5 million and 26 individuals with a total of VND 8.8 million in support.

The Da Nang Labour Union has also handed over VND2.63 raised from the  trade unions of the local district-level administration, local government agencies, businesses and individuals to the ‘Million doses of vaccines for poor workers’ programme jointly launched by the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour and the Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper.

Chairman of The Da Nang Labour Union Nguyen Duy Minh visited and provided in-kind assistance worth 80 million VND in total for a ring-fencing COVID-19 hotspot in Tan Chinh Ward, Thanh Khe District.
