Da Nang young people visit and give gifts to needy people in Nam Giang District

As part of activities in response to the Youth Month 2022, on March 28 and 29, the Da Nang Youth Union in collaboration with the municipal Youth Federation, the municipal Students’ Association and the Nam Giang District Youth Union in Quang Nam Province organised the ‘Border March’ programme in La Dee Commune, Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province.

Within the framework of the programme, Youth Union members visited and gave gifts to the village elder Zo Ram Hua in Dac Cho Day Village.

Also, the young people donated a TV, 200 bottles of antiseptic water, 2,000 medical face masks and 200 COVID-19 rapid test kits, with a total value of VND40 million, to the Nam Giang Border Guard Station.

Moreover, they presented 50 national flags, and participated in a flag-saluting ceremony at the Viet Nam - Laos border marker 717.

Twenty 20 breeding pigs, worth VND26 million in total, were donated to 10 ethnic minority youths in La Dee Commune.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union cum Chairman of the municipal Youth Federation Nguyen Ba Duan, the ‘Border March’ programme in 2022 is an activity concreting the ‘I love my homeland’ and ‘Border and island sentiment’ movements launched by the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Youth Union, thereby widely contributing to educating young people about patriotism and national pride, and the policy of building a peaceful and stable border of the Party and State.
