After the launching ceremony of the Youth Month 2022 in Da Nang in March, over 40 youth union members were deployed to the Thanh Son Street where a park is situated in Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Chau district in an attempt to develop it into the civilized street. They were actively involved in cleaning up the street, and removing illegal advertisements and drawing on power poles.

Only in the morning, Thanh Son Street was completely given a ‘new coat’ with 32 power poles decorated with vivid and beautiful drawings.

Secretary of the Hai Chau District chapter of the Youth Union Nguyen Thanh Phong remarked that the ‘Blooming power poles’ campaign in Thanh Binh Ward was one of the typical activities launched by the Hai Chau District chapter of the Youth Union in response to the Youth Month 2022.

Under the plan, all Youth Union organisations in Hai Chau District will carry out many practical activities to promote the volunteering and impulsive spirit of the youth in environmental protection and climate change adaption, such as planting flowers and trees along main streets, developing waste classification and treatment models, and expanding ‘Bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized - safe’, ‘street murals’, ‘Blooming power poles’, and ‘The second journey of old plastic bottles and tyres’ campaigns.

In response to the Youth Month 2022, youth union members in Cam Le District have become actively involved in building a civilised lifestyle, protecting the environment, preserving the urban landscape, and supporting needy people.

In addition, the Cam Le District chapter of the municipal Youth Union donated the Hoa Tho Tay Ward Culture and Sports Centre a sports kit worth VND40 million.

Other Youth Union organisations across the district have registered for the implementation of nine projects, totalling VND 165 million, with the purpose to support poor youth union members and build a playground for local children.

According to Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union Nguyen Manh Dung, the annual Youth Month aims to arouse the spirit of volunteerism, and nurture pride in the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in each Youth Union member organisation.

During this month of youth, the municipal Youth Union will host a series of activities. Included are an online contest on national Youth Law and Da Nang's youth development program in the 2021-2030 period, organizing ‘Union Day’ and the ‘March Dialogue’ program, as well as providing free medical check-ups for Vietnamese heroic mothers and policy families.
