Da Nang leaders extend congratulations on Buddha's 2566th birthday
A group of Da Nang’s leaders, led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, on Saturday morning, visited and congratulate the Executive Board of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha in Da Nang on the occasion of the Buddha's 2566th birthday.

Deputy Secretary Triet wished Most Venerable Thich Tu Tanh, Head of the Executive Board, along with Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers citywide, a happy and peaceful Vesak day.
The city leader highly lauded the Executive Board of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha in Da Nang, and local Buddhist followers, for their remarkable contributions to the city’s socio-economic development, its pandemic prevention and control work, and its social welfare activities, over the past times.
He also praised them for joining their efforts in well implementing local Party and government’s guidelines.

Mr. Triet also briefed the Executive Board on the city's socio-economic development achievements over the past years.
Specifically, in the first five months of the year, Da Nang has gained remarkable results on socio-economic development. In addition, the city’s budget revenue are likely to have surpassed the year's targets. Many businesses have resumed their operation, whilst people's lives have been gradually improved.
Mr. Triet expressed his belief that the upcoming Congress of the city's Buddhist Sangha would choose reputable personnel to lead Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers to continue making joint efforts with the city’s authorities to drive the city’s growth in the time to come.
