Ms Vo Thi Hong Hao, residing in Hoa Cuong Nam Ward, Hai Chau District, was supported with VND 12 million extracted from the fund of the program "For a bright tomorrow" due to her dificult circumstance. Hao's husband died because of a serious illness so she has to work hard to raise her three young children, including one with a birth defect. Therefore, the Association supported VND 12 million so that she could buy a bread cart as Ms Hao wanted.

Meanwhile, Ms Vo Thi Thanh Phuong, residing in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, has alone raised her four young children and her sick husband.

She sells fruit, vegetables and tubers but did not have a refrigerator to preserve so she could only buy a few dozen kilograms at a time to sell. After being supported with VND 12 million by the Association, she immediately bought a refrigerator to store goods.

Currently, she buys nearly 100kg of fruit, vegetables and tubers each time. This helps her earn a few hundred thousand VND every day.

In particular, a second-year student Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, a child of a poor household in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District, is one of 25 students receiving the first batch of scholarships funded by the Viet Nam Children's Organization in 2021 with the amount of VND 20.6 million per school year. This scholarship aims to help her pay for education and living expenses.

The program "For a bright tomorrow" has been implemented in 3 years from 2021 to 2024 to support means of livelihood for 40 poor households with an amount of VND 8-12 million /household, support 75 pupils and students from needy households with an amount of VND 20.6 million/child/school year, and support 100 pupils of poor households with an amount of VND 1 million /child.

Each case is carefully investigated by the Association in collaboration with local authorities and mass organizations to ensure the motto of publicity, democracy, right people and efficiency.

On top of that, the Association has also promoted some activities of "Humanity Home", "Keep your dreams up", awarding scholarships, donating wheelchairs, giving relief and support to poor households with children and other vulnerable groups to help disadvantaged people overcome difficulties and reduce poverty.

In the process of implementation, the Association has focused on the motto of multidimensional poverty reduction and the quality of the support.

For instance, the Association not only helps Mr Bui Cong Dung's household, residing in Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, to build a great solidarity house but also supports his children VND 25 million to have enough learning conditions.

In 2021, the Association campaigned to support the construction and repair of 25 houses for poor families with children despite many difficulties due to COVID-19. At the same time, the Association also awarded over 1,100 scholarships to children of poor households.
