Over 9,000 customers benefit from support policies for enterprises
Da Nang has deployed a total of 15 support policies for businesses over recent years.

Specifically, support policies for pandemic-affected businesses have achieved certain results.
In the first four months of this year, the city supported a combined total of VND324 billion in tax and fee reductions and exemptions.
As accumulated until late March, more than 9,000 borrowers had been assisted to reschedule debt repayment terms, exempt and reduce interest rates and fees, and keep old debt groups, with a total of over VND 20,000 billion.
The value of debt that had been exempted from interest rates and fees, and kept the same debt group had been more than VND3,800 billion, with total bank interest of VND20 billion.
Accumulated up to now, city-based banks have lent more than VND300,000 billion to local enterprises.
In particular, the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies has provided loans, worth over VND45 billion in total, for 98 firms.
Five reductions in electricity prices, over the past 2 years, with the aim of supporting customers in the city to overcome pandemic-triggered difficulties has hit a total of nearly VND300 billion.
In addition, the city has exempted and reduced the usage fees of clean water, as well as supported premise rental fees for small traders.
The information was released by Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Tran Thi Thanh Tam at the 2nd "People's Council with voters" programme held in Da Nang on Thursday morning.

In his remarks at the event, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highlighted that the city has implemented 15 support policies for businesses, including many exemption and reduction policies on tax, and electricity and water prices.
He, however, added the business community was still facing a difficult recovery after two years of COVID-19. Particularly, more than 98% of businesses operating in the city were small and micro-sized ones. Therefore, he stressed the need for relevant agencies to pay special attention to these enterprises.
Currently, the Standing People's Council has assigned the People's Committee to advise and adjust issued relevant resolutions in the direction of expanding beneficiaries of interest rate support policies to the business community.
“The municipal People's Committee continues to study more specific policies so that on the basis of the city's resources to drive the city's socio-economic recovery in the coming time" emphasised Chairman Triet.
