The Hai Chau Chapter of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, along with its member organisations, have raised more than VND 4 billion from generous philanthropists to support the city’s fight against COVID-19.

In response to the "Sharing love, overcoming the pandemic" campaign in 2020 and 2021, the Hai Chau Chapter of the Da Nang Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front presented 23,629 gifts, over 61 tons of rice, more than 20 tons of agricultural products and necessities, totalling over VND9.2 billion, to pandemic-affected people.

Most specially, a total of more than VND16.5 billion has been raised from generous donors for the district’s Fund for the Poor, exceeding VND1.5 billion of the plan.

Over 14.9 billion VND of the donated money went to help poor families build new houses or repair their downgraded ones, support the livelihoods to needy people, and provide free medical examinations and treatment for poor people.
