Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh presents gifts to policy beneficiaries in Da Nang

Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, on Monday morning, visited the Care Center for Revolution Contributors based in Da Nang’s Ngu Hanh Son District, and some social policy families in the city, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).

Mr Minh was accompanied by Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, and municipal People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen.

At the Care Centre for Revolution Contributors, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh wished those who were cared for at the centre good health and happy lives.

He also expressed his profound gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers and war invalids who have devoted their youth to the cause of the national independence and defence.

The Deputy PM said that the country had 9.2 million people who gave meritorious services to the revolution. Over the past years, the Party and State have made great efforts to take care of policy beneficiaries.

Mr. Minh highly praised Da Nang for its support policies for local policy beneficiaries, thereby contributing to improving the spiritual and material lives of heroic Vietnamese mothers and war invalids.

He also commended the centre’s staff for their great efforts in implementing support policies and taking good care of revolution contributors there.

The Care Centre for Revolution Contributors is currently caring for 48 elderly people with an average age of 81 years.

In addition to receiving lifelong care at the centre, the elderly are fully entitled to the regime prescribed by the central ordinance on incentives for people with merits, and at the same time receive a monthly meal allowance of VND2.1 million each.

Also on the same day, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh visited war invalids Thai Phuoc Hiep and Nguyen Cong Ho, both living in My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, and Mr. Do Minh Minh - a son of a martyr - residing in An Hai Dong Ward, Son Tra District.

During his visits, the Deputy PM wished them a good health so that they continue to be a good example for their grandchildren and the younger generation to follow.

On the occasion, the policy beneficiaries received gifts from Mr. Minh, the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Da Nang Party Committee.

Also on Monday morning, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Trinh Thi Thin and war invalid Lam Van Ba, both living in Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District.

Chairman Chinh extended his deepest gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers and war invalids for their great sacrifices and devotion to the struggle for national independence and freedom.

He added that over the past years, the Party and government of Da Nang have always paid special attention to taking care of those who gave great service in the national revolution and would continue to implement these policies in the better manner in the coming time.

Mr. Chinh wished heroic Vietnamese mother Trinh Thi Thin and war invalid Lam Van Ba ​​a happy and healthy life, hoping that they would continue to set bright examples for younger generations to follow, thereby contributing to the city's ever-growing development.
