Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Monday, held a reception for some representatives from the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee’s Steering Board for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity, led by Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee Lam Van Man.

During his meeting with the guests, Secretary Quang remarked that in recent years, Da Nang has carried out the fight against corruption and negativity drastically and synchronously.

He added that resolutions set by the 12^th Congress of the municipal Party Committee have identified the task of fighting against corruption and negativity as a key task and a measure to strengthen the construction and rectification of the Party. Therefore, right after the 12^th Congress, the municipal Party Committee’ Standing Board issued Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated March 23, 2021 on strengthening the Party's leadership in handling corruption cases.

Mr. Quang added that Da Nang was one of the localities that had soon established a provincial-level Steering Board for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity. The Steering Board has developed working regulations, assigned tasks, held the first meeting, and monitored and handled some cases of violations.

A representative of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee's Steering Board for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity said that the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee's Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Negativity was established in early June 2022. Since then, 7 cases have been put under the monitoring, direction and handling of the Steering Board.

However, the assignment of tasks has still faced some difficulties, so the province is in need of learning experience from other localities, including Da Nang.

Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee Lam Van Man highly spoke of Da Nang’s good experience in preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena.

Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee will flexibly apply the experience in line with the actual situation of the locality, added he.
