Viet Nam-Laos great friendship and special solidarity continues to be cultivated

A group of representatives from the Alunmay Magazine - A theory and practical agency of Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, led by its Deputy Editor-in-Chief Khamsavay Sidavong, visited Da Nang on Monday.

Hosting the reception for the Lao guests, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum municipal People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his pleasure at the visit made by the the magazine's leaders. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the Alunmay Magazine, and Laos as a whole, on their impressive development over the past time.

He affirmed that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam in general, and those of Da Nang in particular, will continue to cultivate the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries in the time ahead.

Deputy Secretary Triet informed, over the past years, his city has signed 35 cooperation agreements with 7 localities of Laos, including setting up special cooperation relationships with 5 south central provinces of Laos. In July 2022, a group of the city's senior leaders visited, worked and signed memoranda of understanding on boosting cooperation in the spheres of education, high-quality human resource training, trade and agriculture during the 2023-2027 period with some Laotian localities.

Currently, more than 270 Lao students are studying and living in Da Nang. The city has also sent some teachers to Laos to teach Vietnamese language. Da Nang already organised many meaningful activities to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Laos diplomatic ties.

For his part, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Khamsavay Sidavong thanked the city leader for his respectful and warm welcome.

He expressed his impression on the city's remarkable social-economic development achievements in recent years.

The Lao guest expressed his hope that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and Laos will be evergreen and sustainable forever.

The Alunmay Magazine is the theoretical and practical agency of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, with the mission of researching, summarizing and disseminating theories and practices of building the Lao Party and country. The magazine has a close relationship with the Viet Nam Communist Review. Over the years, the Viet Nam Communist Review has sent experts to Laos to exchange experience and expertise with the Alunmay Magazine.
