During his reception on Tuesday for Deputy Governor of Sekong Province in Laos Khamsone Konnho, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam briefed him on the city's socio-economic development over recent years.

During the 2018 - 2022 period, the city spent about VND 30 billion on supporting the Lao province to build and upgrade schools, public works, and Vietnamese language teaching centres; provide scholarships for Lao students studying in the city; receive Lao government officials to learn about experience from the city; and promote agricultural development.

The above mentioned support has significantly contributed to promoting the city’s progress, and tightening the cooperative and friendly relationship between the city and Sekong Province in particular, and the great friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos in general.

Sekong Deputy Governor Khamsone Konnho, for his part, thanked the city leader for his warm welcome to the Lao delegation, as well as for the great support to the province over the past years.

The Lao guest hoped that Da Nang would continue to facilitate nearly 600 Lao students studying in the locality in the coming time. He also expressed his wish that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between with Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, will be forever sustainable.
