Da Nang is always willing to create all favourable conditions for foreign businesses, including those from Japan, to invest and operate effectively in the city, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen made the statement whilereceiving Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Yakabe Yoshinori on Thursday.

During her reception for the Japanese diplomat, Vice Chairwoman Yen affirmed that Da Nang has assigned the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs to prepare well for events to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties (September 21).

She pledged the municipal government will facilitate and expedite the handling of legal procedures for the pedestrian bridge project at the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa in Lien Chieu District in order to ensure that the project will be carried out soon in the near future.

In reply, Mr Yakabe Yoshinori discussed some issues related to bilateral cooperation between Japan and Da Nang, especially activities to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.

He highlighted the significance of the organisation of activities to celebrate the the 50^th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties in strengthening cooperation, exchange and friendship in many aspects, as well as taking full advantage of the economic cooperation with Japan to realise the city's socio-economic development goals.
