10 Da Nang typical Women Union's chapters honoured
The Da Nang Women's Union (WU) organised the ‘Ao Dai - Vietnamese cultural identity’ programme and presented the ‘Typical Chapters of Da Nang Women's Union’ Awards 2022 on Sunday to mark the 113th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) and the 1983rd anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung (the two Trung sisters)'s uprising.

The ‘Typical Chapters of Da Nang Women's Union’ Awards aimed to honour outstanding women in recognition of their active involvement in the city’s construction and development. Up to now, the awards have been maintained for 16 years and become an annual thematic award of the city.
During the event, 10 outstanding chapters out of more than 1,200 ones of the municipal Women’s Union across the city were honored with the awards.
Specifically, the WU chapter in Nam Thanh Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District, won the first prize.
The second prizes went to the 9C Dong Tra WU chapter in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, and the 3E chapter in An Hai Dong Ward, Son Tra District.
The WU No. 24 chapter in Khue Trung Ward, Cam Le District, and the WU No 9 Tan Hoa chapter in An Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, shared the third prizes.
Two fourth prizes were given out to the WU 17 chapter in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, and the WU 8 chapter in Hai Chau 1 Ward, Hai Chau District.
Three fifth prizes went to the WU chapter in Thach Nham Tay Village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, and the Khai Tay WU No.1 chapter in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, and the WU No.17 chapter in Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District.

Meanwhile, the ‘Ao Dai - Vietnamese cultural identity’ programme featured ‘ao dai’ performances with the participation of Miss Viet Nam 2022 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy.
In addition, there were cultural performances, folk dances and flashmod performances by more than 300 women members. All the performances praised the beauty of ‘Ao Dai’, the homeland and people of Da Nang and Viet Nam as a whole.
